Culture Project
In International Business, groups of two students created a poster about the various aspects of an international country. My partner and I chose France due to the fact that we already obtained a few facts about France before the poster was assigned. We researched about multiple aspects to consider when traveling to or doing business with France, such as the type of money they use, cultural factors to consider, and how the education system runs. In completing this assignment, we gained invaluable knowledge of how France is different from the United States.
Product Project
The Product Project is the result of some innovative thinking between my partner and I. We created a powerpoint on our original idea to help the community, DREAM (Disaster Ready Eating Assistance through Meals) Kits, which is basically a meal kit that provides easy to make, self-heated food and drink. This was an important project because it encouraged everyone in the International Business class to create a product or service that would the world. From this project, I learned that creating a product is harder than it looks or sounds. I have respect for entrepreneurs that even attempt to advertise and put their product out into the market because I found that even though I and my partner's product is not even in physical form yet, I was insecure about having the class view the idea that we thought up. Overall, I am glad that I had the chance to present the idea to the class since other classmates of mine had very good ideas to solve situations that I never would have thought of.
